Mary Eleanor Ponshock

Mary Eleanor Ponshock, 79, passed away in Marietta, GA on August 5, 2015. She was born October 25th, 1935 in Detroit, MI to the late Gordon and Eleanor Cook. She attended Bradley University and received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Northern Illinois University. She raised a family in Aurora, IL and was a teacher for many years in IL, GA and Rochester, NY.
Mary was preceded in death by her brother Bob Cook and most recently her sister Sally Ann Youngman in May of 2015.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years Jacob John Ponshock, daughter, Cynthia Devine; son, Scott Sandra Devine; granddaughter, Nikki Devine; step-son David Shellie Ponshock, stepson James Michelle Ponshock as well as 13 step-grandchildren.
Her family will celebrate her life with a memorial in Rochester, NY at a later date.
