We were the two Claires who danced with Briar Rose Garland team and were tickled when we discovered we shared May 19th as our birthday although she was 4 years younger. My husband Eric Allender and I are saddened to hear of her death. Claire’s beautiful smile and graceful dancing always added to the delights of a day or evening.
Loving memories of Claire and the Briar Rose Garland Dancers from so long ago. Deepest condolences to her family and friends.
Love for Claire and all her family and friends. And with your son . . . dance on.
This afternoon I found photographs of two lovely Briar Rose quilts that I am sure Claire had a (very skillful) hand in making. One depicts a beautiful rose and the other one is squares that depicted garland dancers that we made.
My husband Scott and I are sadden at the loss of Claire and the loss of Christian.

I am sad today to hear about the loss of Claire and her son Christian. I was very fond of Claire. My condolences to Jim and all of us Briar Rose dancers.
I am so sorry to hear of Claire’s passing. I’m sure Christian and she are together and rejoicing with the Lord. My deepest condolences to her family and loved ones.
ConunDrums are so saddened by the passing of our sister, Claire… We will miss her so very much. She made a huge impact on all of us. She was not only the first musical director of ConunDrums but she was also an amazing djembe drummer and beautiful charismatic performer.
We are also so very sorry for the loss of her son, Christan. We remember all the wonderful heartfelt things she said about him during his teenage years.
