Greg Keyes left this life far too young on January 6, 2019, at the age of 29 years. Greg was a star football player at Woodland High School in Cartersville, Georgia. He had a zest for life and lived every day to its fullest.
Greg loved to travel. He hiked through Arizona, Utah, Colorado, and Hawaii. He traveled the California coast. He fell in love with red wine on a trip to Tuscany in Italy in 2016. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed riding his motorcycle in the north Georgia mountains and floating down the river. And he loved hiking with his beloved dog, Capone.
Greg loved jujitsu and progressed extremely quickly to earn his Chip Coffey blue belt.
Most of all, Greg loved his friends and family. He adored his nephews and loved encouraging them in their athletic endeavors.
Greg’s family and friends celebrated his life and legacy at a Celebration of Life on January 13, 2019. He is survived by his mother, Lori Latimer of Atlanta, Georgia (whom he affectionately referred to as his “Momma Bear”); his father, Mike Keyes of Kennesaw, Georgia; his brother, Steve Keyes, of Dallas, Georgia; his nephews, Landon, Lucas, and Hudson Keyes; his nana, Sarah Keyes, of Kennesaw Georgia; and countless friends.
Greg will be forever remembered for his love of life, his fearless attitude, and his giant heart. He left an impact on everyone he met.
