Jana Leslie Harless

Jana Leslie (Possiel) Harless passed away at home on January 8, 2024. She was born in Belmont, MA and moved to Marietta, GA with her family in 1974 and went on to graduate from Walton High School and the University of Georgia. She met her husband Dan and established a home in East Cobb where they enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Jana always loved the beach, as a child in Cape Cod, then later in Destin and other tropical destinations. Her lifelong love of sports was kindled by her father and only grew with age, following UGA Football and the New England Patriots religiously, and looking forward to the Master’s every year. Jana nurtured many, many friendships and treasured her friends both old and new. Jana was preceded in death by her parents William and Joyce Possiel. She is survived by her husband Dan, brother and sister-in-law Scott and Tricia Possiel, dearest Aunts Phyllis Cochran and Carol Knight, numerous cousins, and innumerable friends. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, January 20, in the Chapel at Johnson Ferry Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Heart Association or any charity of your choosing.
