Daniel Paul Ellsworth, Sr.

Daniel Paul Ellsworth, 70, passed away peacefully at his home in Roswell, GA on June 19, 2018 after a brief battle with Pancreatic Cancer.
Born in Troy, New York on April 28, 1948. Dan was a compassionate individual who touched the lives of all who knew him, always ready to share his contagious smile, sympathetic ear and/or a good book. He was a very spiritual person and was ordained a Deacon of the Catholic Church where he served for many years. In his later years, Dan led a faith driven life built upon recognizing the beauty and goodness in all things. He found great joy in music, deep conversations on spirituality and growth, and nearness to those he loved.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Ruth Ellsworth. Survived by his life partner, Clinton Powell; his children Karrie Ridley, Daniel Ellsworth Jr. (Terri), Christopher Ellsworth (Brooke), Matthew Ellsworth, and Mark Ellsworth (Jackie), as well as his former spouse and friend, Johanna Ellsworth; ten grandchildren; Alex and Mackenzie Ridley, Marissa, Hanna, Hayden, Jacob, Joshua, Zachary, Greyson, and Morgan Ellsworth. He is also survived by siblings Joe Ellsworth (Shirley), Jackie Disonell (John), Bonnie Ratalsky (Lloyd), Michael Ellsworth (Debbie), and Patrick Ellsworth (Linda).
Services will be held at St. Andrew Catholic Church on Saturday June 23 at 10:30 am. The address is 675 Riverside Drive Roswell, Georgia. The officiating Priest will be Father Victor Galier. A celebration of life luncheon will be held at 912 St. Lyonn Courts Marietta, Georgia 30068 from 12:00-2:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PANCAN) in his honor, at pancan.org where they strive to double the life expectancy by 2020 through research and other clinical trials.
